Kind of a quiet week on the gaming front. On the PC I’ve been playing some random indie games that I plan on reviewing over the next few weeks. I did end up getting The Hong Kong Massacre and from what I played of it so far it is alright. I did start playing Mortal Kombat 9 on PC just to go through it again. Glancing at the new releases on PC I see nothing that interests me in the coming week.
For consoles I’ve still been playing Mortal Kombat Armageddon and Timesplitters Future Perfect. For VR I have been mostly playing Gladius when I get a chance. On mobile I have been focusing on Dragonball Legends. So pretty much the same games from the previous few weeks. Everyone have a good week. After watching the Mortal Kombat 11 event last Thursday I am psyched for the game. While we did not get a ton of character reveals, Baraka and Scarlet were enough for me to pre-order the game. Baraka is my favorite character from the older games while Scarlet is my favorite from the newer ones so knowing that they are both in this game has me excited. I am also interested in seeing how the character customizations work. April 23rd is not going to come soon enough.
On the VR front I am still enjoying my VR headset. Room scale games still take a little getting used to but the more I do them the less things I end up hitting around the room. I have been really enjoying Gladius and Contagion VR along with a bunch of other games I picked up and already owned. I picked up a few more VR games this week while I try to find a shooting game that works for me. My goal is to start reviewing VR games within the next few weeks. I just want to make sure that I have a good VR setup to ensure I can review these games properly. On PC I have been playing mostly indie games with the exception of Insurgency and Day of Infamy. On console I am still playing Mortal Kombat Armageddon and Timesplitters Future Perfect on the Playstation 2. For mobile I have still been playing Dragon Ball Legends and I have also put some time into DC Legends and King’s Raid. The only new release I am eyeing up this week is a small game called Hong Kong Massacre. Haven’t decided if I’m going to pick it up yet, but it seems like something I would enjoy. Everyone have a good week So after a week with my VR headset I am having a blast with it. While I do not see this replacing normal PC gaming anything soon, I think VR has its place. I am looking forward to see how developers use this technology in and outside of gaming.
Besides VR the rest of my gaming involved some random PC games in my Steam library. I am continuing my progress in Mortal Kombat Armageddon and started Time Splitters Future Perfect, both on the PS2. On mobile I'm still playing Dragon Ball Legends. I am looking forward to the Mortal Kombat 11 event on Thursday to see what characters they are going to reveal. I'll post my comments about it in next Tuesday's post. Have a good week. I finally got around to buying a VR headset this past week and I have to admit I am impressed. I was always interested in the tech but skeptical on the actual experience. After two hours with it and getting the hang of the controls I was having a blast. Now time will tell if this is something that I am going to use on a regular basis or if I am going to get quickly bored with it. I am already eyeing up some upcoming VR games in 2019.
Besides that most of the week was spent playing some random PC games. Not sure which game review I am going to post this week but I have a few reviews started. On mobile I have been playing Dragon Ball Legends, Dragalia Lost and Bleach Brave Souls. On console I have been continuing my progress in Mortal Kombat Armageddon on the Playstation 2. A new year brings with it a whole new year of gaming. It also brings with it a whole list of goals for this site over the next year. With no new releases in the near future that interest me, I’m spending most of my week working on some PC game reviews I’ve been wanting to do plus some other content for the site.
For most of the past week I have been playing Dissidia Omnia Opera and Dragon Ball Z Legends for mobile. On the PC side of things I have been mostly playing Slash It Ultimate which I will have a review up for on Saturday. I’ve also been playing Insurgency Sandstorm and Trash Squad on PC. For console I’ve been playing Mortal Kombat Armageddon for the Playstation 2. Everyone have a good week. |
