Virus Crashers is a throwback to the NES era of games in appearance, gameplay and difficulty.  The gameplay is fairly simple.  You fly around each stage, shoot your bubble gun at the enemies, which puts them in a temporary bubble, jump on the bubble which turns the enemies into fruit and collect the fruit.  Collect all the fruit and you progress to the next stage.  From what I played that is all you do in the game.

While the game does look and sound like an old 8-bit NES game, it also adopts the difficulty of those games.  You get killed in one hit and once you lose all your lives you have to start over from the beginning.  When my brother and I played this game we had problems getting past the second stage.  We eventually were able to make it to the ninth stage and could not make it past that point in the game.  With ninety nine levels and no continues, there is some challenge to this game.  If that is what you are looking for this game is for you.
