Top 10 Mortal Kombat Characters

Mortal Kombat is a long running series that has produced many memorable characters.  Like everyone, I have my favorite characters.  While some are fan favorites, others are ones that many people hardly ever mentioned.  With Mortal Kombat 11 coming out this month, I figure this is a good time to list my favorite characters in the series.

10.  Sektor

Sektor was one of the first characters I got good with in Mortal Kombat 3.  A cyber ninja, Sektor was an interesting character with his design and move set.  While I do not play Sektor much in the newer games, I still have a lot of time in with this character.  (Mortal Kombat 9 pictured)

9. Cassie Cage

When Mortal Kombat X came out I wasn't overly excited for it.  While the game looked great, most of my favorite characters were not in it so I put the game on the back burner until the complete edition came out.  When I finally went through the game, I realized I did not like most of the new characters.  One of the few exceptions was Cassie Cage.  (Mortal Kombat X pictured)

8.  Sindel

Sindel is an interesting character for me.  On one hand I use the character only on occasion no matter what game I am playing.  On the other hand I am decent with her.  (Mortal Kombat 9 pictured)

7.  Sonya

Sonya has been with the series since the beginning.  Since I didn't start playing the Mortal Kombat games until Mortal Kombat 2, it wasn't until Mortal Kombat 3 that I got a chance to use this character.  While I have never been great with her, I always use the character in whatever game she is in.  I use her in the mobile game often.  (Mortal Kombat X pictured)

6.  Jade

Jade is a character that I used sparsely over the course of the series.  However, once I got into the mobile game, Jade quickly became one of my favorite characters in that game.  Since the version of Jade in that game is based on her Mortal Kombat 11 character, that is just another reason for me to be excited for Mortal Kombat 11.  (Mortal Kombat 9 pictured)

5.  Kitana

Kitana has been around the series for a long time.  Her play style works well into how I play Mortal Kombat games and I often use her in the current games.  In the Mortal Kombat mobile game I use Kitana on my main team.  (Mortal Kombat X pictured)

4.  Mileena

Mileena is a fan favorite for many people.  While her and Kitana looked the same in Mortal Kombat 2 besides color and weapons, her appearance and personality evolved over the course of the series.  While I am decent with both Mileena and Kitana, I am slightly better with Mileena.  (Mortal Kombat X pictured)

3.  Baraka

When I first saw Baraka in Mortal Kombat 2, I was impressed with the character design.  Once I started to use the character, I realized that I was pretty good with him.  His move set is not hard to do and fits my playstyle.  I usually play Baraka in every game he has been in.  I was not happy he was not playable in Mortal Kombat X but his being one of the first characters shown off in Mortal Kombat 11 gave me a lot of interest in that upcoming game.  (Mortal Kombat 9 pictured)

2. Kira

When I saw Kira in Mortal Kombat Deception, I was interested in the character.  While her backstory isn't very interesting, I found her move set the be very easy to pull off.  Plus I was a huge fan of the character design.  Unfortunately, besides Mortal Kombat Deception and Armageddon, she has not made an appearance in the newer games.  Kira is probably my favorite character in the series, but the next character just beats her out for being current.  (Mortal Kombat Armageddon pictured)

1.  Skarlet

When this character came out, I immediately bought the dlc.  Besides the fact that I love the character design, I was very comfortable with her move set.  While I was disappointed in her not being in Mortal Kombat X,  her being one of the first characters announced for Mortal Kombat 11 got my interest in that game immediately.  (Mortal Kombat 9 pictured)
