I find tarot card readings interesting.  While most will view the whole practice as nonsense, others view it as a way to guide their lives.  The thing with tarot readings is that there is a lot of room for interpretation of the cards and their meanings in relation to you and your situation.  While Tarot Readings Premium might not be the most robust or flashy tarot program I have ever used, it does get the job done.

Once you start the program you you put in your name, surname and your date of birth.  From there you can pick one of four tarot reading spreads. The Celtic cross is a ten card spread that is fairly detailed and any question can be asked.  The three card spread is basic, to the point and anything can be asked. There is also a seven card spread that deals with romance and another for career.  The first two are the most common ones and for this review I am focusing on the Celtic cross spread.

Once you type in your question you pick ten random cards from a normal seventy eight card tarot deck and they are put into a Celtic cross formation.  The program then goes through the ten cards one at a time, talking about their position on the cross, their significance and what they mean. This includes if the card is reversed, well dignified or ill dignified.   You can zoom in on the cards to get a closer look of the image. At the end of the reading you get a recap of everything that was said. You can save the reading to review it later if you want. Overall the program does a decent job of explaining the cards and their meaning in regards to their position on the spread.

Graphics are pretty basic for this program.  The backgrounds and the tarot reader picture are done in a cartoon style which isn’t great but not bad either.  There are four different card designs that you can choose from and while they are showing the same images, there are enough differences between them to make them unique.  The sound effects and music are basic and nothing to really talk about.

As I mentioned before, tarot card readings are very open to interpretation.  While I personally do not much stock into them, I do enjoy seeing what comes up and how I can take the reading and apply it to my life.  As far as the program itself, it is a fully functional tarot reading program. While the presentation is bare bones, there are some different spread patterns and card designs to choose from.  If you are interested in tarot card readings this is not a bad place to start.
