Cyber Badminton is not a hard game. This game has a weird premise that revolves around the world being invaded by aliens and only winning a game of badminton can save us. This brings in our character Kai who is a former badminton champion who is tasked with going against the aliens. Somehow someone thought this was a good idea for a storyline. The game has two modes which are the same except the story mode has some dialogue while arcade doesn't.
Gameplay involves you hitting a ball back and forth until the other player misses the ball or it goes out of bounds. The game has three difficulty modes which determine how much health you and your opponent have. There are powerups you can collect that only effect the current ball in play, minus the health pickups. You have a straight shot and a slightly angled shot when hitting the ball back. The game ends when either you or your opponent run out of health.
The game has a decent retro feel to it with its graphics, sounds and controls. With that said, this game has little replay value to it. With only one game mode there is little to do once you beat the game. This is a good start to a game and I like what it does. I just don't see myself coming back to it without anything else to do or unlock.
