Each version of Risk that I play has its own pros and cons. This version of Risk is done by Spearsoft Inc and Pop Cap and overall is a simple, but solid, version of Risk.
The setup for each game is easy. You pick to play as one of six colors and can have between 2-5 opponents. You have some basic options such as how many armys you get for card turn ins and how the starting armies get placed. Once you start the game it plays like any other Risk game, deploy your reinforcements, attack other territories, move troops to fortify your territories, collect a card if you attacked and won, end turn, repeat. You keep doing this until one side controls all of the territories on the map. This is a pretty straight forward Risk Game.
The game has three difficulty setting and all three are noticeably different. While easy is probably too easy, the hardest mode gives you a good challenge. No matter what mode you play the game runs smooth and the turns go by quickly. A game here only lasts about 15 minutes which is good if you just want to play for short bursts. As far as gameplay the only drawback I saw was that there is only one map to play on. The games graphics and audio are both decent and work well to fit into the games simplicity.
This is a good version of Risk if you just want to play a quick game here and there.
